Terms of Service
These terms govern your school's use of Classeno. Please read them before creating a workspace.
1. Who these terms are between
Classeno is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [ADDRESS] ("Classeno", "we", "us"). These terms form an agreement between us and the organization whose workspace you create or join ("the School", "you"). If you accept these terms on behalf of a school, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it.
You accept these terms when you create an account, continue with Google, or use a workspace. If you do not accept them, do not use Classeno.
2. What Classeno does
Classeno is scheduling and administration software for training schools. It stores the records a school enters — people, households, teachers, rooms and other resources, classes, sessions and attendance — and produces schedules, calendar subscriptions and imports from those records.
Classeno supports your administration; it does not replace it. Schedules, attendance records and any suggestions the service generates should be reviewed by a person before you rely on them.
3. Accounts and workspaces
- The person who creates a workspace becomes its owner and may invite other members and set their roles.
- Account details must be accurate, and each account is for one person. Do not share credentials.
- You are responsible for what members of your workspace do with it, and for keeping credentials, invitation links and calendar subscription links confidential.
- Tell us promptly at privacy@[DOMAIN] if you believe an account or a calendar link has been compromised. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the service or its users.
4. The records you enter
You decide what goes into your workspace, and you remain responsible for it. Before entering personal information about a student, a guardian, a teacher or anyone else, you must have the authority and the consent needed to do so, and you must give those people whatever notice the law requires.
Where a student is a minor, obtaining consent from a parent or guardian is your responsibility. Classeno does not create accounts for students and does not contact students or guardians on its own behalf.
Do not enter information you do not need. In particular, do not put health information, government identifiers, or payment card numbers into free-text fields such as notes.
5. Our role in your records
We handle the records in your workspace on your behalf and on your instructions, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell them, and we do not use them to advertise to anyone. We access them only to run and support the service, to keep it secure, or where the law requires it.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use Classeno unlawfully, or to store or send unlawful, harassing or deceptive content.
- Do not try to access another workspace's data, defeat the separation between workspaces, or probe the service's security without our written permission.
- Do not upload malicious code, scrape the service in bulk, or place unreasonable load on it.
- Do not resell or provide the service to a third party as your own.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Classeno available and improve it, and we may add, change or remove features. We will give reasonable notice before a change that materially reduces functionality you rely on. Unless we have signed a separate service level agreement with you, the service is provided without an uptime commitment, and maintenance or interruptions may occur.
8. Fees
[PRICING TERMS — describe plans, billing period, taxes, and what happens on non-payment, or state that the service is currently provided free of charge.] We will give at least [30] days' notice before introducing or increasing fees, and you may stop using the service before they take effect.
9. Ownership
We own Classeno — its software, design and documentation. You own the records you enter. Nothing in these terms transfers either. You grant us only the permission we need to host, process, transmit, back up and display those records in order to provide the service to you.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the service without obligation to you.
10. Services we rely on
Classeno uses a small number of outside services: Google for optional sign-in, an email delivery provider for verification and notification messages, and infrastructure providers for hosting. Where you choose to use setup assistance during onboarding, the profile answers you provide may be sent to a third-party AI provider; student, guardian and teacher records are not sent. Our Privacy Policy lists these providers. Their own terms govern their services, and we are not responsible for them.
11. Ending the agreement
- You may stop using Classeno at any time and ask us to close your workspace.
- We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms and do not fix the breach within [30] days of notice, or immediately where the law requires it or where continued access poses a security risk.
- Export anything you need before closing a workspace. After closure we delete workspace records within [30] days, except where we must keep them longer by law; backups age out within [ANOTHER PERIOD].
12. Disclaimers
Except where the law does not allow it, Classeno is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet any regulatory record-keeping obligation that applies to your school.
13. Limitation of liability
Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to Classeno is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the [12] months before the event and [CAD $100].
These limits do not apply to your obligation to pay fees, to either party's liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or to anything that cannot be limited under applicable law.
14. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from the records you enter or your use of the service in breach of these terms, except to the extent the claim arises from our own breach.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we make a material change we will give notice by email to workspace owners or in the application at least [30] days beforehand. The version you accepted is recorded with your account, and continuing to use Classeno after a change takes effect means you accept the new version.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of [PROVINCE] and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of [PROVINCE] have exclusive jurisdiction, and each party submits to them. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the law of your own province.
